This was the response we received when we asked Ivonia and Jakis if they wanted to get married (They're two adorable haitanos we've been teaching). Basically she said RIGHT NOW.
Love haitians. so much.
Also Jakis, upon seeing a picture of my mom, said that I had a mother very beautiful. I agree.
A little girl from Haiti moved into my sector this week named Naima. She's seven years old and has my heart. She has the cutest hair I've ever seen. She loves my hair too. We were teaching her uncle and all of the sudden I felt two little hands springing my curls up and down. I died. I DIED. I gave her a toy car because she doesn't have any toys at the moment. She can't speak any Spanish, but I have this love for her that I can't explain. She is a child of God through and through.
Okay enough about hair. This week was lovely, we walked so much I wanted to cry, but so is the mission.
Markenson came to church yesterday and we are hoping he gets baptized Saturday!!!
Here are some pics:
We went to the CAMPO for lunch yesterday. It was SWEEETTTTTT. So many horses and chickens. It's like Byron in Chile.
And I'm no longer illegal!!!
