I tripped in public this week and that's what someone yelled at me. Gotta love being a gringa.
Also I had about two minutes of terror where I thought I had lice---false alarm, but it would not surprise me.
Also my comp made me sing on the bus this week. I wanted to die.
I love my hija with all my heart. She's a good one, she came pretrained. No really, she's perfect.
And the big news of the week....
Angelina and Sabina GOT BAPTIZEDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!
It went so well...probably because Elder Clements and Elder Santos helped us out a ton.
"We are going to baptize hermanitaaaaa!!!!" -Elder Santos. Angelina came out of the water laughing and crying and Sabina invited a ton of her friends. It was awesome. Makenon baptized them and said the words perfectly. Score. It was fantastic.
To me, Angelina and Sabina are perfect example of people who "are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it." (D&C 123:12) How grateful I am that the Elders gave us their reference and I've had the chance to be their missionary the past 3 months.
In other news I hit 9 months this week and so we snapped a pic. I hope you like the uncut version of Hermana Brinkerhoff.
This week marks one year since I lost my dear Grandma Brinkerhoff. She has been on my mind quite a bit lately. She had such an impact on me and I am forever grateful for her. I've been thinking about her funeral and when we sang "God Be With You Till We Meet Again," all of us cousins. I remember Grandpa crying and looking with love at all of his posterity.
I hope all of my cousins are living up to the legacy that Grandma left and are making her proud! There is nothing better we can do.
I sure love you all and am grateful for this opportunity I have to serve as a missionary in the awesome country of CHILE. These last nine months have been so interesting and there are a lot of things I will share at a later date. Haha! But overall the mission has been the best choice of my life, and no matter what, I will never regret it.
