Well hello everyone!!! This week was super, super good. First off we had a training for the trainers...again...it was like 8 hours long and I will tell you right now my body can not sit that long anymore. I don't know how I'm going to make it in school. It was rough. Hermana Grover was there, so there is the highlight of my week!! Some days I get humbled to death. For example there is a haitano in my sector that speaks perfect english. He told me about his life in Haiti and I wanted to cry. There is something about your own language that just really hit home. I can not express the love I have for the Haitian people. I firmly believe they will have a special place in heaven for the things they've been through. We also had divisions this week and Hermana Owen and I went crazy!!! We taught all day. it was sweet. Also a little name-dropping—the son of the football coach in Meet the Mormons--yeah, he's in my mission. This week we jumped roped with some little girls in the street. I still have some mad jump roping skills even after all these years (and in a skirt). One of the little girl's names was "Josie" in english, so we bonded pretty well. :) Some days I really don't feel worthy of the blessings I receive on my mission. Yesterday we walked into the church and there was this girl sitting on the bench. She told us she wa 14 and had lots of desires to go to church, and her mom told her "go find a church if you want to go to church so bad." So she came. SOLO! It was a MIRACLE. Her name is Barbara and I love her. It was a good week. I sure love you all and I can't believe it's November. It's so hot here I can't imagine any type of snow and the Christmas music is really throwing me off, but all is well. XOXO Hermana Brinkerhoff FOTOS: The ward activity was off the chain. I made snicker salad and Juan came! Good time. Check out that burn!!!!
